The cumulative costs of Schaumburg’s airport policies over the last decade-and-a-half certainly surpass more than a billion dollars in lost economic prosperity for its citizens.

The Schaumburg Freedom Coalition has learned that in order to achieve even a modest $2.2 million dollar loss the Schaumburg Convention Center is commanding huge sums of taxpayer money to pad the books favoribly.

With the taxpayer’s of Schaumburg funding millions of dollars for the local professional baseball team & stadium, we should at least recognize the taxpayer’s sacrifice in the renaming of the stadium to Alexian/Taxpayers Field.

Soaking the taxpayers again and again to operate and expand Schaumburg Regional Airport is exactly the opposite of smart planning for our village.

There is no time like now for Schaumburg to end corporate welfare, sell the stadium and the surrounding land to the highest bidder, and recoup as much of the taxpayers’ expenses as possible.
