“Chicago Tonight” Another Tax Hike for Chicago?

Brian Costin, President of the Schaumburg Freedom Coalition, was a guest Wednesday, Aug. 12 on “Chicago Tonight,” the Chicago-area’s premier public-affairs broadcast program.
Costin discussed the proposed tax increase to benefit Chicago Public Schools. The proposal is supported by Mayor Richard Daley and CPS Chief Executive Ron Huberman.
Costing says, “A tax hike is not needed. Solutions to CPS budget woes include vouchers, reforming tax increment financing districts, and pension reform.”
