The typical response from their business manager and board members is: We haven't needed a referendum. Yet, each year they levy an increase to the maximum extent allowable by law. The district -- with no costly high school expenses,spends more per pupil than many unit districts in this state. Yet, looking at the test scores, gets very little bang for the buck.
