Labor Day Tea Party Parade

Schaumburg’s & Cook County’s Sales Taxes are out of control. Schaumburg’s obscene 12% Bar & Restaurant Sales Tax is the highest in the history of the nation! Our 10% retail tax is second only to Chicago. There is no better place to begin the fight against outrageous taxes than deep inside Cook County’s high tax zone at Schaumburg’s Septemberfest Labor Day Parade.

Parade Line Up Number: 56
Parade Start: 10 AM
Parade Line Up Location: Approximately 400-416 E. Wise Rd. Schaumburg, IL.
Just East of Summit Dr. and Wise Rd. on North side of street.
Parking: 1151 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg, IL
Jewel/Osco Parking lot at Wise & Roselle Roads.
Walk 4 blocks East on Wise Rd. to parade line up spot.
Other parking on residential streets can be found closer to the line up spot but fills up very, very early and cannot be guaranteed.
Parade Route:
Start: On Summit Drive starting at Wise Road & Summit Drive
End: Summit Drive and Stockport Ln. (Septemberfest Grounds). 2 blocks South of Schaumburg Rd.
We have 100 signs, 1000’s of stickers, and 2 huge bags of candy to hand out along the parade route.
If you have an American flag and would like to have someone carry it in the parade please bring it!
Schaumburg Sales Tax Rollback Petitioning Immediately After Parade
We will be petitioning immediately after the Septemberfest Parade to roll back sales taxes in Schaumburg. Yesterday, we collected over 500 signatures for the Schaumburg sales tax roll petition with overwhelming enthusiasm by Schaumburg & area residents.

We have about 8 clipboards and many petition sheets available. You are encourage to bring additional clipboards & pens if you plan on petitioning.
You can petition for as long as you like the Septemberfest is an all day event. It takes about 45 minutes to one hour to fill out one petition sheet of 25 signatures.
