I am so furious with these people who for some God knows what reason think that raising our taxes is what need's to be done at this time. We bought our house in schaumburg in 2006 and the property taxes were about $3300. and now our taxes are over $6000. What exactly are they trying to do to us, take away the last shread of hope we have to make it through these bad times....they are a bunch of idiots who have no clue what people are going through and do not care.

They do need to lose their jobs and not have any income in their households and maybe that would wake them up to reality......

I bought house in March'2008. My previous owner was paying $4800/-, when property value was 40% higher than current price. I paid $5200/- in 2009. This year I endup paying $6900/-. I couldn't understand this math which official tried to explain me that you are new owner, therefore your homwowner exemption is less than previous owner. If that the case; yera after year exemption should go up but not here.
If property value go down, assesment is going down as well. Although these public repesentative are using higher multiplication factor to increase tax and snatching money from residents.

this is outragious and they should go to federal government to get more money for school funding or other expense rather than pilling innocent taxpayer residance.

I hope they should understand public centiment.

Thank you for sharing the very important information regarding the fools that have NO clue what they are creating! My taxes took the biggest leap in 12 years and I am one of the many who is furious!

Please let me know how I can get involved in promoting reasonable candidates and put these out of touch people, out of a job!

We live right on the border of Hanover Park / Schaumburg and our property taxes went up by over $1,000 this year from last year.

Now, with my job being outsourced to India and my husband having to still work at 66 years of age, we are not happy campers.

Our property / housing value did not go up, 1 out of 6 people are foreclosing.

I really want to find out the names of every single person that voted for this property tax raise and campaign to make sure these folks are not re-elected.

"United we stand, divided we fall". We need to rally against this injustice.
