This interview happened over multiple dates in early 2009. At that time I was having great difficulty in obtaining salary documents from the Village of Schaumburg.

Since the time of the interview many of the documents I requested from the Village of Schaumburg have been received. The service in responding to FOIA information from the Village of Schaumburg staff has been much improved. In particularly the service of Village employees Rita Elsner and Carole Giovanazzi in obtaining documents for the Schaumburg Transparency Project have been outstanding.

Also, the Village of Schaumburg for the first time posted their annual budget in a searchable PDF format. While their is considerable improvements that need to be made these developments are a small victories for the government transparency cause in Schaumburg.
