Questions for D211, Schaumburg Library

March 23rd, 2009  |  by Published in Blog, Education

A good Letter to the Editor that appeared in the Daily Herald on March 23, 2009.

After reading “Library retreat rescheduled”, and “Dist. 211 vacancy to be filled” in Wednesday’s “Northwest suburbs in 60 seconds,” I’m just wondering:

Why does the Schaumburg Township District Library board need a retreat at the Wingate? Can’t they save the $200 and use one of the meeting rooms in the library? I also wonder what other expenses will be incurred during the retreat.

Why won’t Dist. 211 divulge the names of the applicants for the school board seat left vacant by the death of Susan Kenley-Rupnow? It is a public position, after all.
