The citizens of Schaumburg should have the power to approve or reject this property tax proposal at the ballot box.

Over 1,250 signatures to roll back Schaumburg’s home rule sales taxes, including over 600 from Schaumburg residents, have been collected by the Schaumburg Freedom Coalition.

Schaumburg should take a hint from Mayor Johnson of Elk Grove Village and shut down the wasteful spending in the Old Schaumburg Center TIF district.

Assuming you actually read SB 1216 & SB 1292, when you voted in favor of them, how could you possibly pass this off to the citizens of Illinois’ 44th House District as being “balanced”?

A Schaumburg Freedom Coalition investigation has revealed that the Village transferred nearly $1.8 million from the General Fund to the Airport Fund from 2006 – 2008.

Don’t expand or fix up Schaumburg Airport at taxpayers expense, privatize and sell it.

There is no need to force taxpayers to pay for a second Arts Center. Stop all plans for a second $80 million dollar Schaumburg Performing Arts Center.

The Old Schaumburg Center parking lot plan is completely unnecessary, and an unfair advantage to a privileged few businesses at the expense of all other local taxpayers.

If Schaumburg having the highest sales taxes in the nation isn’t justification for a sales tax rollback campaign, I don’t know what would be.
