The Schaumburg Freedom Coalition is led by Founder & Director Brian Costin. Costin is also the Assistant Director of Government Relations at the Heartland Institute in Chicago, IL. At Heartland, Costin’s responsibilities include: the recruiting, hiring, training, and managing of Legislative Specialists. The Government Relations team at the Heartland Institute works to encourage more legislators at the federal, state, and local level to embrace free-market ideas. Such ideas include parental choice in education, choice and personal responsibility in health care, market-based approaches to environmental protection, privatization of public services, and deregulation in areas where property rights and markets do a better job than government bureaucracies.
Brian Costin holds a Master of Management of Nonprofit Administration degree from North Park University. He also graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in both Economics and Political Science. Previously, Costin worked in Operations Management and Business Development at United Parcel Service (UPS).

In a survey of the existing studies on red light cameras, there are at least 9 studies that raise significant concerns about red light cameras. Each of these studies reports that red light cameras increase accidents instead of preventing them.

Let’s take a second look at Village salaries before we permanently commit to a new huge property tax that will punish local residents and businesses.
The citizens of Schaumburg should have the power to approve or reject this property tax proposal at the ballot box.
Mayor Larson is addicted to Tax & Spend Big Government. It really is time for a change of leadership at the top.
All 5 of the Trustees who said no to property taxes in 2004, have now voted in favor of the largest property tax increase in the history of Schaumburg.
